Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies!-Crispy on the edges, soft & gooey in the center!
I am not a great baker….I’m really not even a “good” baker, however I have made these cookies numerous times & each time they turn out great!! They stay soft even days after they are baked! After tweaking the recipe over the last few months here is the final version, I hope you enjoy them as much as my family has!
Ingredients:
1 Cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup white sugar
2 large eggs or ½ cup liquid eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
¾ cup bit of brickle toffee bits (they are in a bag near the chocolate chips)
Optional-1 cup chopped almonds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream together butter & sugars until smooth.
Beat in eggs, then stir in Vanilla.
Dissolve baking soda in Hot water & add to the sugar/butter mixture.
Carefully Stir in flour & cream of tartar until blended.
Stir on chocolate chips, toffee bits, & almonds.
Drop by the spoonful onto an ungreased pan….I use a Silpat covered pan, Silpats are amazing!!
Bake 11 minutes in the preheated oven. They may not look done but they will be perfect once they cool, DON’T OVER COOK!!
